Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) in Winchester, VA — ARRT certified and Virginia license eligible for a 13-week travel radiology contract supporting outpatient diagnostic imaging and a Level II Trauma Center.

Radiology Technologist Job Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist / Rad Tech (outpatient or hospital experience preferred)
Current ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
Active Virginia Radiologic Technologist License or eligibility to obtain prior to start
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Proficiency with EPIC EMR preferred; experience with PACS and digital radiography a plus
Experience with fluoroscopy and DEXA (bone densitometry) preferred

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic X?rays and fluoroscopic procedures in an outpatient radiology setting
Assist with bone densitometry (DEXA) and other imaging studies as needed
Operate digital radiography systems, maintain PACS image quality, and follow imaging protocols
Ensure radiation safety, perform QC checks, and comply with departmental and regulatory standards
Document patient information accurately in EPIC and maintain clear, timely radiology records
Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams in a Level II Trauma Center network
Deliver compassionate, patient?centered care to a diverse outpatient population
