- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), every other weekend required
- Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 – $1,570
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- At least 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently in acute care
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with mechanical ventilation/ventilator management and ABG interpretation is a plus
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in a hospital environment, supporting pulmonary and critical care needs
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and other respiratory interventions, including ventilator management and weaning support
- Monitor and assess patient respiratory status, document care provided, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Respond to emergency situations and provide critical respiratory support as needed (code response, rapid response)
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and ensure proper use of respiratory equipment and ventilators
