Travel RN Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (ER RN / Emergency Department nurse)
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
• Certifications required (AHA; must be in hand at time of submission): ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
• Epic electronic medical record (EMR) / Epic charting experience preferred
• Ability to provide accurate 7-year work history verification
• Must be available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing
• 50-mile travel requirement for assignment

Emergency Department Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced Emergency Department (ED)
• Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for a wide range of acute medical and trauma conditions
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP and ventilated patients, central lines, and continuous IV sedation
• Administer emergency medications, IV push meds, and vasopressors per protocol
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and monitor/identify dysrhythmias
• Monitor procedural sedation and maintain isolation precautions / appropriate PPE
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Services, Radiology, Physical Therapy, and Social Services
• Maintain patient ratios (typically 4:1 during nights and weekends)
• Complete required orientation, competency validation, and e-learning modules
