- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830 – $1,930
- Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) / Travel Nurse
- Employment Type: 13-week Travel Contract
- Location: Brooklyn, Maryland (21225) — Baltimore area nursing job
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: Night, 3 x 12-hour shifts (18:50 – 07:20)
- Start Date: June 9, 2026
- End Date: September 8, 2026
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (3 years preferred) — perinatal/OB experience preferred
- Current RN license (Maryland or compact state accepted)
- C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification through NCC — required
- BLS, NRP, STABLE certifications — required
- ACLS and AWHONN Advanced certifications — preferred
- Scrub experience and C?section assistance experience — preferred
- First-time travel nurses welcome — travel nurse jobs and travel contracts supported
- Ability to float to mother/baby and scrub as needed; participate in call coverage (2 shifts per 6-week schedule)
- Every other weekend required
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Two supervisor references required
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum care to mothers and newborns in a 10-bed L&D unit
- Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and vaginal births; support scrub duties in the OR
- Perform and interpret fetal monitoring (C-EFM) and manage intrapartum fetal assessment
- Administer medications, blood products, and manage IV therapy and emergency interventions
- Conduct newborn assessments, support breastfeeding and lactation initiation, and provide postpartum education
- Float to mother/baby assignments and collaborate with NICU, respiratory, IV therapy, radiology, and social services teams
- Maintain accurate charting (Cerner experience preferred) and comply with unit protocols and quality standards
- Participate in weekend rotations and call coverage as scheduled
