• Location: Ontario, CA 91764 (San Bernardino County) – Southern California living with easy access to shopping, dining, parks, and the San Gabriel Mountains
• Assignment Type: Travel Pharmacist / Travel Assignment
• Duration: 13 weeks (May 25, 2026 – August 24, 2026)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
• Shifts per Week: 5 shifts per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,940 – $3,160
• Setting: Hospital pharmacy (hospital pharmacist manager, pharmacist in charge)

Required Qualifications

• Active California Board of Pharmacy (BOP) license (must be attached to application)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be attached to application)
• Minimum 5 years recent pharmacy managerial or pharmacy leadership experience in a hospital setting preferred
• At least 1 year of experience as a licensed pharmacist required
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; experience supervising pharmacy staff and scheduling
• Availability by phone for urgent issues (no on-call shifts required)

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) as defined by the California State Board of Pharmacy
• Supervise daily departmental activities, staff assignments, and scheduling
• Perform dispensing duties and clinical pharmacist functions, supporting medication safety and clinical services
• Develop and implement systems to ensure regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and continuous performance improvement
• Oversee formulary management, inventory control, and medication distribution processes
• Act as a resource for staff education, orientation, competency assessment, and standard operating procedures
• Support sterile compounding oversight, policy updates, and pharmacy process optimization
• Drive performance improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of patient care
• Perform other duties as assigned to support hospital pharmacy operations
