• Setting: Hospital – Birthing Pavilion / Operating Room (OR)
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Surgical Tech, Perioperative)
• Start Date: May 24, 2026
• End Date: September 12, 2026
• Duration: 16 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour nights (23:00 – 07:30) — Night shift Surgical Technologist / OR Tech role
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,030 – $2,190

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist or Technician program (required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Tech, preferably in a hospital or birthing pavilion/OB OR setting
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (e.g., CST or equivalent) or state-required credential
• Ability to work nights and thrive in a fast-paced perioperative environment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and sterile technique skills
• BLS from the American Heart Association preferred or as required by facility

Key Responsibilities – Operating Room / Perioperative

• Assist surgeons, obstetricians, and nursing staff during operative procedures in the Birthing Pavilion and OR
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, surgical instruments, and supplies (sterile technique)
• Ensure proper functioning, setup, and turnover of surgical equipment and instrumentation
• Support patient safety, aseptic procedure, and infection control protocols for perioperative care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including perioperative nurses, anesthesiologists, and obstetrics staff—to deliver high-quality patient care
• Document procedures, maintain accurate instrument counts, and update patient and OR records as required
