Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist / Surgical Tech
• Valid surgical technologist certification required (e.g., CST or equivalent)
• Prior experience in a hospital operating room setting preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and sterile technique

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring readiness and compliance with OR protocols
• Assist surgeons and circulating nurses during surgeries by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
• Ensure surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, inspected, and functioning
• Maintain accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies before, during, and after procedures
• Support post-operative clean-up, turnover, and restocking of the OR
• Follow hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols at all times
