- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (June 29, 2026 – September 26, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (2:30 PM – 3:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Unit: Emergency Department (64 beds; acute, trauma, psych, pediatric areas)
- Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department RN experience, including pediatric emergency nursing
- Active New York RN license (NURSYS verification required)
- Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
- Experience with EPIC EMR strongly preferred
- Charge nurse capability highly preferred; demonstrated leadership in ED settings a plus
- Skills checklist matching Emergency Department specialty
- Up-to-date resume documenting travel and ED experience
- Valid driver’s license with matching address
- Ability and willingness to float to other units as needed
- Uniform: Navy blue scrubs required
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care across the lifespan — newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Triage and manage common ED diagnoses: stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
- Participate in code blue, rapid response, stroke protocols, and sepsis management following hospital standards
- Use specialty ED equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun; competent in emergency procedures and monitoring
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapists, social work, and specialty services) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC and comply with hospital policies and quality metrics
- Float to other units and perform charge nurse duties as assigned
