Job Details – Radiation Therapist / Radiation Therapy
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,380 – $2,550
- Location: Martinsburg, WV 25401 (Eastern Panhandle, Appalachian region)
- Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Radiation Therapy Unit (Radiation Oncology)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 21, 2026 – July 21, 2026)
- Shift: 8 Hour Days (Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm)
- Hours: Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Weekend Requirements: None
- Holiday Requirements: Closed major holidays
Radiation Therapist Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist or therapeutic radiologic technologist
- Certified Radiation Therapist – ARRT (T) verification required
- West Virginia state license (facility willing to wait for license)
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Experience with Varian linear accelerators and delivering external beam radiation therapy
- Proficiency with IGRT/CBCT treatments and CT simulation workflows
- Familiarity with ARIA and EPIC electronic charting systems
- Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from facility (travel therapist requirement)
Key Responsibilities – Radiation Therapy & Oncology
- Deliver image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) and CBCT-guided treatments per physician prescription
- Operate GE Lightspeed CT Simulation scanner and Varian 2100 IX linear accelerator
- Administer approximately 30–35 therapeutic radiation treatments and 3–5 CT simulations daily
- Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and multidisciplinary clinical staff to ensure safe, effective patient care
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation using ARIA and EPIC charting systems
- Follow department policies and dress code (solid color scrubs, no navy blue)
