Travel Home Health RN – 13-week assignment in Asheville, NC. Provide skilled homecare nursing and patient-centered care across the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains while enjoying Asheville's vibrant arts and outdoor lifestyle.
Job Details
- Location: Asheville, NC (28803) – Asheville travel nurse job, home health nursing in Western North Carolina
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 25, 2026 – August 24, 2026)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,120 – $2,230
- Role: Travel Homecare Registered Nurse (RN) / Home Health Nurse
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- Hours per Week: 40
- Call Requirements: One week of night on-call every 6–7 weeks (5 PM – 8 AM) and that weekend; no night visits required
- Patient Load: 5–6 patients per day
- Documentation System: HCHB (Homecare Homebase) – experience with HCHB preferred
- Dress Code: Navy blue or navy/white scrubs
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact RN license eligibility (compact state applicants encouraged)
- At least 1 year of recent home health nursing and/or hospice nursing experience
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance for patient visits
- Strong documentation, organizational skills, and proficiency with electronic charting (HCHB experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently as a travel nurse and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach and commitment to clinical excellence
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care and assessments to home health and hospice patients in Asheville and surrounding Franklin/Macon County areas
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans as a Home Health RN
- Perform skilled nursing procedures consistent with scope of practice and agency policies
- Coordinate patient care with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Document all visits and clinical interventions accurately and timely using HCHB
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotation (no night visits required) and communicate effectively with clinical managers and case managers
- Deliver compassionate, patient-focused care that supports quality outcomes in the home setting
