- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260 – $2,380
- Location: Santa Rosa, CA 95405 (Sonoma County, Northern California)
- Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (LDRP Unit)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/18/2026 – End: 8/17/2026)
- Shift: Night, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:00); 4x12-hour shifts available upon request
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratio: 1:3
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Charting / EHR: Epic
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery and postpartum RN experience (L&D RN / Postpartum RN)
- Valid California RN license required at time of submission (California RN license)
- Travel nursing experience required (travel nurse background preferred)
- Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- AWHONN Advanced certification preferred; strong precepting skills are a plus
- Experience with Epic electronic health record (Epic EHR)
- Ability to float between like units and affiliate hospitals as needed
- Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- References: 2 covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for laboring and postpartum patients in an LDRP setting (Labor & Delivery nursing, postpartum care)
- Triage obstetrical patients, perform sterile vaginal exams, and monitor maternal-fetal status
- Circulate for C-sections and assist with high-risk antepartum and intrapartum cases
- Administer therapies including magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, and anticoagulation per protocol
- Maintain and care for central lines (CVC/PICC) and adhere to isolation precautions/PPE guidelines
- Utilize and calibrate intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC) and perform fetal monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—OB/GYN, anesthesia, neonatology—to ensure optimal maternal and newborn outcomes
- Float to sister facilities as needed to support staffing and patient care across the health system
