Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,570 – $2,710
- Location: Knoxville, TN (37916) — Tennessee nursing jobs / Knoxville healthcare
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026)
- Role Type: Travel RN – Interventional Radiology (IR RN / IVR nurse)
- Shift: Four 10-hour day shifts per week (7:00am – 5:30pm), rotating day off
- Call: One night per week (5:30pm – 7:00am) & one weekend per month (Fri 5:30pm – Mon 7:00am); 30-minute call back radius
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Start Date: June 1, 2026
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology RN experience (IR procedures, neuro IVR experience preferred)
- Active RN license (TN or Compact License accepted)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, Color Blind Testing
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required — must reside more than 75 miles from facility
- Ability to float to other units/hospitals within your skill set as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in Interventional Radiology, including Neuro IVR and vascular procedures
- Prepare patients and administer/monitor conscious sedation and procedural sedation
- Manage ventilators, titrate critical medications, and administer IV vasopressors when indicated
- Perform and assist with angioplasty, stent placement, cerebral and carotid angiography, dialysis graft interventions, discograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and other IR procedures
- Monitor procedural sedation, interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergent events
- Start and maintain IV access, central access familiarity preferred
- Document patient care and procedures accurately using Cerner
- Float to other clinical areas within the hospital or system as requested
