• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,740 - $2,940 (Travel RN / RNFA pay)
• Location: Lakeport, CA 95453 — Lake County travel nursing job near Clear Lake, vineyards, and outdoor recreation
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (July 13, 2026 – October 12, 2026)
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (08:00 – 18:00)
• Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse (Operating Room RN First Assistant)
• Weekend Coverage: 2 weekends per month; call split with another RNFA

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required for CA nursing jobs)
• Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) & CNOR preferred/required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 2 years recent RNFA experience in the Operating Room (perioperative/surgical RN experience)
• Previous travel nursing experience required (travel RN background)
• Epic charting experience preferred (electronic medical record experience)
• Ability to provide 7-year work history verification and two professional references from past year

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as Surgical First Assist across a variety of procedures including general, gynecological, orthopedic, and podiatry cases (OR RNFA duties)
• Perform advanced perioperative tasks: maintain aseptic technique, count sponges/instruments, secure drains, and apply tourniquets
• Provide safe, age-appropriate surgical care for infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• Share call responsibilities with another RNFA and provide weekend coverage as scheduled
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services) to optimize perioperative care
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting in the medical record (Epic preferred)
