Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,440 - $1,510 (competitive pay for travel nursing)

• Setting: Short-Term Acute Care, Level III Trauma Center (acute care, Med/Surg)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 21, 2026 – August 20, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 – 07:15)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Unit: Mixed Pediatric-Adult Med/Surg (01.6023 Med Surg)
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Scrub Color: Blue for nursing
• Charting: Meditech (experience preferred) — Meditech experience strengthens travel nurse applications
• Parking: Free

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience (preferred for Registered Nurse, acute care)
• Valid RN license in Oklahoma or multistate compact RN license (compact state accepted)
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS and CPI certifications preferred
• Willingness to care for pediatric patients (experience preferred but not required)
• Feeding tube care and management, IV therapy/phlebotomy experience preferred
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• First-time travel nurses welcomed
• Every other weekend coverage required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Med/Surg nursing care to adult and pediatric patients on a mixed Med/Surg unit
• Manage an assigned patient ratio of 1:5 during night shift as a Registered Nurse
• Perform feeding tube care, IV therapy, and phlebotomy; administer medications and monitor responses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, and Pharmacy
• Support pediatric patients with common conditions (RSV, pneumonia, failure to thrive) and provide age-appropriate care
• Float to other units as staffing needs require
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech charting system
• Participate in weekend coverage every other weekend and uphold night-shift clinical standards
