Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $750 - $790
• Location: Philadelphia, PA 19107 — Philadelphia healthcare hub with easy access to arts, dining, and parks
• Employment Type: PRN (1 shift per month to start; potential for increased shifts during busy season)
• Duration: 26 weeks
• Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts
• Work Setting: On-site Labor & Delivery unit (hospital-based)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (PA)
• Minimum 1 year of direct Labor & Delivery or obstetric nursing experience
• BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to work independently in fast-paced L&D settings
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities
• Preferred: experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) and perinatal documentation (not required)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to women in labor and delivery as an experienced Labor & Delivery RN / obstetric nurse
• Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor (including fetal heart rate and electronic fetal monitoring)
• Assist physicians, midwives, and the multidisciplinary team during childbirth procedures and deliveries
• Perform postpartum assessments and educate patients and families on newborn care and postpartum recovery
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and perinatal documentation
• Respond quickly to obstetric emergencies and escalate care in collaboration with the team
