Job Details

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) / Emergency Department Nurse (ED Nurse) – Travel Nurse
• Location: Harrison Township, NJ 08062 (Southern New Jersey / near Philadelphia & Jersey Shore)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 48
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,790 – $2,930
• Start Date: June 1, 2026 (Compliance due by May 27, 2026)
• Clinical Setting: High-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department (ED)
• Shift: Weekends required (every other weekend or 3 per month depending on needs)
• Holiday Requirement: None required
• Return-to-Office (RTO): No more than 3 days accepted

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience required — strong ER nurse experience preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Previous travel nursing experience (completed at least one contract assignment) — travel nurse candidates encouraged to apply
• Experience working in high-volume/fast-paced ER environments preferred
• Active New Jersey RN license or valid Compact RN License
• Current and valid certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (no pending or expiring within 30 days of submission)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Department setting as an ER Registered Nurse
• Perform rapid patient assessment, triage, and ongoing monitoring for critical and non-critical patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, techs, ancillary services) to optimize patient outcomes
• Prioritize and adapt quickly to changing clinical situations in a fast-paced ER environment
• Participate in all required orientation and training sessions (virtual and in-person) and complete HealthStream modules and orientation requirements on time

Note: Block scheduling and special requests are not available for this assignment. Failure to complete the full orientation will result in immediate termination. Candidates must proactively check orientation schedules and locations and meet compliance deadlines.
