Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Work on an Oncology and General Surgery unit with 24 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift consists of 1 charge nurse and 5 nurses when unit is at full capacity
• Primary nursing care model utilized on the unit
• EMR system: Meditech/CPN
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital acute care Oncology RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Chemo certification preferred
• ACLS preferred
• Perform standard med/surg care including chemotherapy administration
• Chemotherapy can only be hung and handled by chemo-certified nurses
• Vital signs performed every 8 hours; remote tele patients receive vital signs every 4 hours
• Remote telemetry unit with oncology patient focus
• Nurses utilize an iPhone nursing system to text and call care team members
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team required
