Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 20-bed mixed medical and surgical Intensive Care Unit
• Patient ratios vary based on acuity: ECMO 2:1, post open heart surgery 1:1, critical ICU/devices 1:1, typical ICU assignment 1:2, stepdown 1:3-4
• Day and night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, and sitter PRN
• Required to work every third weekend with no on-call responsibilities
• Must be proficient with telemetry monitoring - PCU level experience or greater required
• Experience with critical drips and ventilators preferred
• Prior ICU experience preferred
• Must be organized and easily adaptable
• Perform and assist with procedures including pericardiocentesis with drains, thoracentesis, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation, TEE cardioversion, TTE, and transvenous pacing wire insertion
• Operate equipment including IV pumps, telemetry monitors, Hoyer/stand lifts, Impella, IABP, CRRT (NxStage), bladder scanner, Bair Hugger, rapid transfuser, Blanketrol, chest tubes, vein finder, Sorin retransfuser, ventilator, high flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP/CPAP
• Use Sunrise EMR system
• Float to Progressive Care unit as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must have active New Hampshire nursing license in hand prior to submission
