Opportunity:

Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Day shift hours from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• No floating required
• No on-call required
• No scheduling requests can be accommodated - must remain flexible
• 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• California license must be active and in hand at time of submission - no pending or temporary licenses accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT T, ARRT R
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Treat a variety of cancer cases including adult inpatient and outpatient
• Perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging and handle emergency cases
• Work with equipment including TrueBeam, Elekta Versa HD, GE Lightspeed CT Scanner, Bravos HDR Afterloader, and Xoft superficial treatment
• Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
• Skills required include IMRT, Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), CT Simulation, External Beam Therapy, Total Body Irradiation, Respiratory Gating, and Radiation Safety
• 2 supervisory references from within the past 1 year of employment required at time of submission

This facility is a leading academic medical center offering world-class cancer treatment services with a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. The radiation oncology department features two treatment machines and one CT Simulator staffed by a team of 14 therapists, providing comprehensive radiation therapy services. The facility supports interpretation services and utilizes advanced technology to deliver precise and effective treatments for a wide range of oncological diagnoses.
