Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Weekend coverage required as needed, typically every 3rd weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Blocked scheduling not guaranteed but unit will do their best to accommodate
• Floating may be required to other areas as helping hands based on job role and abilities
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must have Level I trauma experience; highly skilled clinicians with recent Level II trauma experience in a like-size or larger facility may be considered
• Experience required in general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro (specifically craniotomies)
• High volume, fast-paced OR environment with 11 rooms focused on ortho, trauma, and spine cases across all specialties with minimal pediatrics
• Scrubbing is a plus for RN staff
• Scrubs are provided for OR RNs
• Charting system: Cerner
• Free parking available
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid participating compact license required

Facility:

This short-term acute care teaching facility is a designated Level I trauma center operating 11 operating rooms with high volume ortho, trauma, and spine cases across all specialties. With 268 total staffed beds and a daily census of approximately 200 patients, the facility offers a fast-paced environment supported by an extensive interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
