Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Night shift schedule with weekend and holiday rotation
• Active Illinois RN licensure required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS
• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required
• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and State practice act
• Document according to standards of care
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physician and/or clinic policy, including patient and family instruction
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care
• Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating concerns to the appropriate chain of command
• Participate in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities, decisions, and peer review process
