Opportunity:
Cath Lab Tech / Radiology/Cardiology
Job Details:
• Work 5x8 hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Low STEMI call required with on-call rotation every 3rd week
• Call required once a week during every 3rd week rotation
• Weekend shifts occur only during on-call weeks
• Work setting is the Cath Lab environment
• Charting system is EPIC; charting system experience required
• Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
• Daily census of approximately 10 patients with 3 rooms available
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; 3 years preferred
• South Carolina state license required prior to start (SCRQSA)
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT or RCIS/CCI; if RCIS, SCRQSA and SCBME are also required
• Additional certifications preferred: ACLS, ARRT R, ARRT CI, ARRT VI, CCI RCIS
• Must be proficient in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
• Required skills include: cardiac stent placement, cardiac implant closure device, IABP placement/removal, left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), rotablator atherectomy, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and Impella insertion
• Additional procedural skills include: TAVR, temporary pacemaker, angioplasty, aortography, embolization, renal angiography, renal artery stent placement, carotid angiography, carotid stenting, central venous access/port placement, dialysis graft interventions, endovascular interventions, upper and lower extremity angiography, PICC lines, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, EVAR, and TEVAR
• Must be able to scrub procedures, maintain sterile field, serve as room circulator, and perform equipment setup
• Experience with Philips equipment required
• 50-mile radius rule applies; locals accepted
• May be required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• 2 supervisory references required
Facility:
This facility is a well-equipped healthcare organization with a dedicated Cath Lab supporting a wide range of cardiac and interventional radiology procedures. The unit operates with a daily census of approximately 10 patients across 3 procedure rooms and provides comprehensive cardiovascular care including complex interventional and diagnostic services. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and requires staff to be proficient in advanced cardiac and vascular procedures.
