Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 based on acuity
• Average of 63 patients treated in the ER per day
• Common diagnoses include abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry independently as no monitor technician is available
• Will be trained and perform Point of Care lab testing
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 for breathing treatments and ABGs
• Techs available to support unit secretary work, assist nurses on the floor, and assist in triage
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• 2-3 days of unit/department specific orientation required; must be in state for full week of orientation
• Floating throughout the zone (60-mile radius) is required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS, NIHSS, TNCC

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a Level 3 Trauma Center with STEMI receiving and Stroke Center capabilities. The emergency department treats an average of 63 patients per day and features a mixed holding area for ER patients. The facility utilizes EPIC as its charting system and provides 24/7 respiratory therapy support, ensuring comprehensive care for a wide range of emergency conditions including trauma, cardiac, and neurological cases.
