Opportunity:

RN - ER / Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• 3 call shifts required per 13-week contract
• Float between Emergency Room and Medical Surgical units
• Provide Med Surg nursing care with up to 5 patients and function independently in the ER
• Med Surg nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 3 to 4 to 1 depending on census and acuity
• Unit has 25 beds
• Utilize Sanford One Charge, Pyxis, and EPIC charting systems
• Training includes EPIC computer training, 1 day of ER training, and 1 day of Med Surg training
• Dress code requires navy scrubs with no logos; white may be worn underneath or as a white lab coat
• Must badge in and out at facility
• 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 6 months of Med Surg experience in the past year required
• Minimum 6 months of ER experience in the past year required
• Must be able to function independently in the ER
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, TNCC (preferred)
• PALS required

This acute care facility provides comprehensive medical services including Emergency Room and Medical Surgical care across a 25-bed unit. The facility utilizes modern technology including EPIC charting, Pyxis medication systems, and Sanford One Charge to support clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care. The organization maintains structured training programs to ensure clinicians are well-prepared to serve their patient population across multiple care settings.
