Opportunity:

RN - 3N Cardiac Telemetry

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with options for day shift (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) or night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Night shift position with weekends as scheduled
• Every other weekend requirement (Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday for night shift)
• Self-scheduling is allowed with block scheduling available if unit needs are met
• Average patient ratio of 1:5 with ability to flex up to 1:6
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA)
• Must be able to read cardiac strips independently
• Titrate Heparin drips and occasionally Lasix or Bumex; Cardizem and Amiodarone are set rate only
• Manage patients with post heart caths, TR Bands, CHF, COPD, post pacers, arrhythmias, and patients awaiting CABG consult
• Operate and monitor occasional High Flow oxygen, and supportive BiPAP/CPAP therapy
• Perform EKGs when PCT is unavailable
• Handle own patient admissions and discharges with support available when needed
• Fast-paced unit with approximately 8-12 discharges and 8-12 admissions per day
• Travelers will be incorporated into float rotation and may float throughout the hospital within their skillset
• Charge nurse coverage provided 24/7; travelers comfortable with charge nurse role may be considered
• Scrub color required: Royal Blue; scrub jackets optional but must be an actual scrub jacket (no hoodies or sweat jackets)
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a 43-bed cardiac telemetry unit that serves as the central monitoring station for the entire North Tower. The unit is supported by monitor technicians, patient care technicians, a unit clerk, and charge nurse coverage around the clock. The facility fosters a collaborative, team-oriented environment and is experienced in working with a wide range of nursing professionals, emphasizing mutual support and a strong culture of learning.
