Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Travel experience required - does not accept first-time travelers
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP
• Level II NICU experience required
• Care for unstable newborns 32 weeks gestational age and greater
• Attend all deliveries including high-risk deliveries
• Floating may be required to Postpartum and Labor & Delivery units
• Weekends required to meet staffing needs
• Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
• Charting system experience required (any system accepted)
• Required skills and procedures include:
- Breathing treatments
- Chest tube set-up and care
- CPAP/BiPAP
- Procedure sedation and RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation) drugs
- Cooling/warming blanket
- Drains and feeding tubes
- PICC/central lines and syringe pumps
- GYN surgeries, couplet care, and transition nursery
- UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter) and UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter)
- IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids
- Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome management
- Bubble CPAP and oxygen delivery systems
- Breastfeeding support and handling of breast milk
- Feedings (bottle, breast, and gavage)
- Isolation precautions and PPE
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
