Opportunity:
CT Scan Tech
Job Details:
• Work 4x10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM at Main location
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to sister facilities and rotating through all buildings as needed
• Expected to attend all staff meetings
• Guaranteed hours: facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• 40-hour orientation
• Scrub color: Teal top and black bottom
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Parking: Nights and weekends cost only with a one-time payment of $20 for a parking pass
• Radiation badge required and MUST be supplied by agency
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred; 6 months Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT RT (R)(CT), and SCRQSA (R)(CT), SC License
• Required experience: PIV, Siemens, and Level 1 Trauma
• Must have South Carolina license in hand at time of start - pending licenses not accepted
• Patient age groups: Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
• Equipment: Siemens Force (Somaris 7), Siemens Go.Top (Somaris 10), Siemens Somatom Definition (Somaris 7)
• Perform a variety of CT procedures including Level 1 Trauma, routine studies, outpatient, cardiac, and Interventional Radiology procedures
• Required skills include: 3D rendering, abdomen with/without contrast, brain perfusion, chest with/without contrast, head with/without contrast, musculoskeletal trauma, multiplanar reconstruction, preparation and administration of contrast media, radiation safety, starting peripheral IVs, vascular CTA, and PACS
• Interventional radiology/angio procedures preferred including biopsies and drainage
Facility:
This facility is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center with 865 staffed beds and a daily census of 130 patients. The facility also serves as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and offers a full range of services including routine studies, outpatient care, cardiac procedures, and Interventional Radiology. The CT department consists of 3 rooms equipped with advanced Siemens imaging technology.
