Opportunity:
ED RN
Job Details:
• Work shifts from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM in the Emergency Department
• Block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed
• Floating to other units required
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• 64-bed unit including 2 triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 trauma, 10 CDU, and 6 psych beds
• Treat patients across all age groups including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Experience with specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun required
• Required drip and medication experience: Pressors (Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), Vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG), Anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido), Sedation (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl), TNK, Heparin, and Insulin
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required with some pediatric experience
• Travel experience required
• EMR experience required: EPIC
• Required certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Active NY nursing license required with NURSYS verification

This facility operates a large 64-bed emergency department equipped to handle a wide range of critical and acute medical conditions. The unit is designed to support diverse patient populations from newborns to geriatrics and is staffed to manage high-acuity cases including trauma, cardiac emergencies, and neurological events. The facility maintains advanced specialty equipment and a comprehensive pharmacy formulary to support complex patient care needs across multiple care zones within the department.
