Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

• Day shift hours from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Weekend availability required
• Holiday availability required
• 28-bed Medical/Surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5
• 1 CNA per 10-14 patients available on unit
• No telemonitor techs on unit; telemonitor support provided from a centralized location in Arizona reachable via Ascom app on iPhone
• Ability to read telemetry strips preferred
• Charge nurse does not take a patient assignment
• Required to titrate Insulin and Heparin drips
• RT equipment includes CPAP and established BiPAPs only
• Common diagnoses include sepsis, COPD, bowel obstructions, CHF, and general medical patients
• Float requirement within Region I which includes facilities in Burien, WA; Seattle, WA; and Federal Way, WA
• First to float when not needed on unit
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Any professional colors
• BSN preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of related work experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Washington state nursing license required
