Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Float required to IMCU/Tele as needed
• Weekend coverage required with shifts as needed per contract
• Self-scheduling format
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• 13-bed General ICU unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations
• Patient diagnoses include sepsis, post cardiac arrest, IABP, respiratory failure, severe DKA, multi-system organ failure, CIWA, GI bleed, renal failure, and stroke
• Required equipment experience: Spacelabs Telemetry monitors, Lifepack defibrillators and transport monitor, Bellmont for MTP, IABP, PA Catheters, and ventilators
• Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, suctioning (ETT, NT), and isolation precautions/PPE
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; TNCC preferred
• Charting system experience required
• 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

The ICU unit consists of 13 beds and provides comprehensive critical care services with robust interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The organization maintains high standards of patient care and utilizes advanced monitoring and life-support equipment to manage complex, high-acuity cases.
