Opportunity:

RN - Ortho/Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 48 hours guaranteed per week
• Rotating weekend requirement - every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule
• Holiday shifts required as needed, travelers are expected to work into the holiday rotation
• Unit is a 22-bed Ortho/Tele unit with a 1:5-6 patient ratio
• 3 CNAs per shift with a 1:7-8 aide ratio
• Common patient diagnoses include orthopedic joints, replacements, and fractures
• Must have strong orthopedic experience including Total Joint Replacement (not just fractures)
• RNs are not required to titrate drips or read telemetry strips
• Charge Nurse available 24/7
• Respiratory therapy and equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen available as needed
• May be required to float to units 7E, 7W, 10W, and 10E
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Charting system is EPIC
• 1 to 2 orientation shifts on the unit
• Scrub color required is Royal Blue
• Required certifications: BLS
• BSN not required
• Active RN license required - willing to wait for submission

This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center providing acute care services across multiple specialized units. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and operates a robust orthopedic and telemetry unit equipped with modern technology including EPIC charting. The facility supports a collaborative care environment with charge nurses available around the clock and dedicated nursing aide support on each shift.
