RN - Ortho/Tele

Job Details:

• Work night shifts on a 22-bed Orthopedic/Telemetry unit
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
• Holiday rotation participation required
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with 3 CNAs per shift
• Strong orthopedic experience required with Total Joint Replacement experience (not just fractures)
• Common diagnoses include orthopedic joints, replacements, and fractures
• Telemetry monitoring present on unit; RNs are not required to read strips
• RNs are not required to titrate drips
• Charge Nurse available 24/7
• Respiratory therapy and equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow) used as needed
• Floating may be required to units 7E, 7W, 10W, and 10E
• 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Required certification: BLS

This acute care facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering comprehensive inpatient services across multiple specialized units. The orthopedic and telemetry unit provides high-quality care for patients undergoing joint replacements, fracture management, and other orthopedic procedures. The facility maintains around-the-clock charge nurse coverage and supports a collaborative care model with nursing aides and respiratory therapy services available to support patient needs.
