Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry / Medical-Surgical (Float)

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period (Saturday and Sunday)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• First to float between all Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units
• Floating required between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses (9 miles apart, approximately 15 minutes via interstate)
• Notification of campus and unit assignment given 1.5 hours prior to shift start
• Mid-shift floating between units is possible
• Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in upon arrival at the other
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and Dobutamine
• Must be able to interpret EKGs with centralized telemetry monitoring
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 on Telemetry units and 1:4 on Medical-Surgical units
• Patient population includes post cath lab, post vascular procedures, CABG patients, neuro post-surgical, spine, CVA post-TPA, general MedSurg, ortho, surgical, and oncology patients
• No pediatric patients; patients must be 15 years of age and older
• Scrub color: Navy
• Charting system: Cerner
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to signing contract (maximum 2 attempts, within 48 hours of offer)
• Must pass a Simulation Lab assessment on day one of orientation
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS

The facility includes specialized units covering cardiovascular telemetry, neurology, medical-surgical, orthopedics, surgical oncology, and more. Around-the-clock respiratory therapy and pharmacy services are available, and the organization maintains a robust support structure including charge nurses, clinical supervisors, patient care technicians, and SWAT nurses to ensure high-quality patient care across all units.
