Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Rotating schedule between day and night shifts based on unit needs - schedule cycles may include consecutive weeks of days or nights, with management mindful of limiting frequent back-to-back flipping between shifts
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Nurse to patient ratio of 4-5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift
• Primary unit is 6AB, a 32-bed med/surg unit, with required floating to any med/surg unit at any of the 3 Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo as needed
• Perform patient assessments, documentation, nursing tasks, and medication administration
• Utilize Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps
• Must badge in and out at facility
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent med/surg nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds) required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Neuro patient experience preferred but not required
• Travel experience with successful completion required
• Active North Dakota or Compact RN license required (must be willing to obtain)
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• EPIC experience required
• Cannot accept travelers living within 60 miles of the facility

This large acute care facility operates at a Level 1 trauma designation and features multiple medical center locations within the Fargo area. The organization maintains a 32-bed med/surg unit and supports a collaborative staffing model that allows clinicians to float across units and locations as needed. The facility utilizes Epic EMR and is committed to providing high-quality care across a broad range of acute care specialties.
