Opportunity:
OR Tech - Req 10827
Job Details:
• On-call required once per week with one weekend every six weeks
• Weekends required for on-call coverage only
• Block schedules are not required
• Expected patient ratio is 1:1
• May float to outpatient surgical center
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Scrub and circulate skills required
• Performs all types of procedures including neuro, ortho, general, GU, GYN, robotics, pediatrics, plastics, ENT, ophthalmology, maxillofacial, and kidney and pancreas transplants on patients of all ages
• Separate cardiovascular OR available
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 55-60 patients across 20 rooms
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Any color
• No parking fee
• At least 1 year of experience required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA
• Required equipment: Basic surgical equipment
• Preferred equipment: Da Vinci XI, SPM
• Washington state license must be in hand at time of submission
• Required skills include but are not limited to: abdominal hysterectomy, appendectomy, arthroscopy, aseptic technique, cholecystectomy, craniotomy, cystoscopy, hernia repair, laminectomy/discectomy, laparoscopic assisted cases, spinal fusion, total hip replacement, total knee replacement, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, trauma, Whipple, and robotic surgery procedures
Facility:
This facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center with Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation. With 629 total staffed beds, it operates as a teaching hospital and provides a wide range of surgical services supported by interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
