Opportunity:

RN - Ortho/Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts on a weekend schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday)
• Every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule required
• Holiday shifts required as part of the rotation
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Unit contains 22 total beds
• Strong orthopedic experience required with Total Joint Replacement experience (not just fractures)
• Common diagnoses include orthopedic joints, replacements, and fractures
• RNs are not required to titrate drips
• Telemetry monitoring available on unit; RNs are not required to read strips
• Charge nurse available 24/7 and 3 CNAs per shift with ratios of 1:7-8
• RT and equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow available as needed
• Floating may be required to 7E, 7W, 10W, or 10E
• Royal blue scrubs required
• 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• 2 shift cancellation policy per 13-week contract
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Required certification: BLS

Facility:

This acute care facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering comprehensive orthopedic and telemetry services. The unit is a 22-bed orthopedic and telemetry floor providing specialized care for patients undergoing joint replacements, fracture management, and other orthopedic procedures. The facility maintains a structured staffing model with around-the-clock charge nurse coverage and dedicated nursing aide support to ensure high-quality patient care.
