CT Tech Travel Opportunity - Washington (Silverdale)
Position Overview
- Role: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)
- Location: Silverdale, Washington
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Department: Radiology - CT
- Facility has 3 CT scanners/rooms
Experience & Certification Requirements
- Minimum 2 full years of CT tech experience
- Current BLS certification required
- ARRT Certified Radiologic Technologist (R) and CT Technologist (CT)
- Washington State License required
- Radiation badge required prior to starting assignment
Job Duties & Skills
- Perform all routine CT exams for Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency Department (ED) patients
- Specialized procedures include Cardiac CT, biopsy/drain, Cryo/Microwave ablations, and trauma imaging
- Average workload: 65-70 scans/studies per 24-hour period across 3 scanners
- Occasional floating to X-ray for ED/Inpatient/Outpatient imaging as needed
- IV skills helpful for outpatient procedures
Equipment & Systems
- CT Scanners: 1 GE REV CT, 2 GE REV HD
- EMR System: EPIC
- PACS System: SECTRA
- Windows-based computer software
Work Environment & Scheduling
- Radiologist on-site 24/7
- No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) used
- Shift types: Mix of 10-hour and 12-hour shifts, days and nights
- Schedule posted at least 2 weeks in advance
- Weekend shifts vary: some every weekend, some every other weekend depending on needs
- Holiday work required if scheduled
- Optional on-call with a 45-minute response time
- Department orientation typically during first 3 days
- Scrub dress code: Any professional color; hospital scrubs provided only for OR staff
Additional Notes
- Orientation/education hours not guaranteed during first 2 weeks; expect 25+ hours
- Occasional floating to X-ray may be required depending on shift and job needs
