Job Opportunity: RN Medical/Surgical (Travel)
Location: Clovis, California
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule: 36 hours per week (GWW 36hrs)
- Specialty: Registered Nurse in Medical/Surgical
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC only (Required)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support): AHA or ARC only (Optional)
- Professional Nursing License: Primary source verification (Nursys or equivalent) within 30 days of start and updated upon expiration
- Driver’s License or State ID: Clear copy required (passport accepted)
Education & Verification
- Diploma, degree, or final transcripts required (3rd party verification for international diplomas)
- Board certification and primary source verification of highest education level prior to first assignment and upon requalification
Health & Immunization Requirements
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Proof of vaccine and 1 booster or approved exemption (optional)
- MMR: Proof of 2 immunizations or positive IGG titer; booster or declination accepted if negative titer
- Hepatitis B: Proof of 3 vaccinations, positive antibody titer, or declination accepted; booster or declination if negative titer
- Influenza Vaccine: Required October - March unless exempted with approval
- TB Test: Negative test (skin, QuantiFERON Gold, or T-spot) within 30 days of start, updated annually; if positive, chest x-ray and annual questionnaire required
- Varicella: Proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination accepted
- Tdap: Proof of vaccination within past 10 years or declination accepted
- Drug Screen: 9-panel (minus THC) within 30 days of start, updated annually; rapid drug screen accepted; retesting required if break in service >30 days
- Fit Test: May be completed onsite on start date (optional)
- Health Statement: Signed statement within 1 year of start confirming ability to work without restrictions, updated annually
Background & Compliance Checks
- Criminal Background Check: 7-year county and national check, SSN trace, employment verification (last 5 years), OFAC, NSO; must be within 30 days of start and updated every 3 years
- OIG Search: Manual search within 30 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System): Manual search within 30 days of start, updated annually
- OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) Search: Manual search within 30 days of start, updated annually
- National Sex Offender Search: Manual search within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Medi-Cal Suspended and Ineligible Provider List: Search and documentation within 30 days prior to assignment, updated monthly thereafter
- CHS Any DNS (Do Not Rehire/Send): Attestation of any known DNS record from prior 3 years
Professional Documentation
- Resume/Profile: Required for submission
- 2 Professional References: Minimum 1 supervisory reference required for submission
- Skills Checklist: Clinical skill-specific checklist required within 1 year of start (submission required)
- Confirmation of Assignment/Job Description: Must be acknowledged and signed
- Acknowledgement of Receipt for Policy Packet: Must be signed and submitted
- Dispute Resolution Agreement: Must be signed and submitted
- Badge Photo: Neutral background, forward facing, no facial jewelry
- ROI for MyChart: Release of Information form signed and dated
- Confidentiality of Receipt: Must be signed and submitted
Additional Notes
- All verifications and documentation must be current and compliant prior to start date.
- Some optional certifications and tests may provide additional benefits or stipends.
- Compliance with all health, background, and professional requirements is mandatory for onboarding.
