Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: CT Technologist
- ARRT certification required
- Schedule: 5/2 split nights, alternating pattern (5 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 5 days off, repeat)
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Must be willing to work 1 major and 1 minor holiday
Required Credentials & Certifications
- ARRT certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required (ARC, AHA, or DoD accepted)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) (ARC, AHA, or DoD accepted)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as required
- State License primary source verification
- NURSYS verification for RNs
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Federal and international background searches required
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- Education verification of highest degree earned
- References: 2 professional references within 2 years for travel/allied/per diem acute care positions
- Performance and internal evaluations if previously employed over 1 or 2 years respectively
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within last 12 months (physician statement)
- TDAP vaccination required
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot accepted with specific conditions)
- Rubeola (Measles): 2 vaccines or positive titer; exemptions for candidates born before 1957
- Mumps: 2 vaccines or positive titer; exemptions for candidates born before 1957
- Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; exemptions for candidates born before 1957
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series or positive titer required; declinations accepted only under specific circumstances
- Varicella: 2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox
- Drug testing: 9 or 10 panel drug screen within 1 year of start, updated annually; instant drug screens accepted
- Hepatitis A: Required only for select departments (ED, NICU, Endoscopy, Pediatric, Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccine: Required October 1 - March 31; vaccine or approved exemption required by November 30
- COVID-19 Vaccine: No longer required
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Photo for badge: recent, plain background, shoulders up, no filters or heavy shadows
- Fit testing for masks required prior to orientation
- Parking form completion required
Competency & Orientation
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Core competency exams (Parts I, II, III) required for substitutes
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)
Identification & Documentation
- Proof of I9 or attestation
- Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during work hours
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation
- Residency declaration form if working on a compact license
