Job Opportunity: RN Surgery (Travel)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Facility Overview

• Two operating departments:

  • Main OR with 26 rooms, Level One Trauma
  • 7-room inpatient/outpatient mixed unit (primary base)
• Float opportunities within skill set when overstaffed or rooms end early

Job Requirements

• Must be an RN with surgical experience
• Ability to scrub required
• Experience with DaVinci XI robotic system is a must
• Ability to circulate and/or scrub posterior eye and eye trauma cases

Contract Length

• 12 weeks

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS (American Heart Association only)
• Valid permanent RN license (no temporary licenses) with primary source verification
• MMR immunity (positive titers within last 15 years or approved booster protocol)
• Varicella immunity (positive titers within last 15 years or approved booster protocol)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination (agency form accepted)
• Tdap vaccination within last 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• Influenza vaccine (required during flu season Oct-Mar) or approved declination with masking
• Fit Test (N95 respirator) completed within 1 year
• 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) within last 6 months (annual requirement)
• Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to work without restrictions

Background & Verification Requirements

• Ohio fingerprinting and criminal background checks (BCI&I and FBI as applicable)
• Social Security Trace and National Criminal Background Check within 6 months
• Employment verification within last 5 years through third-party
• Education verification (including equivalency for international education)
• UHS-specific background checks including OIG, SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC searches
• Drug screen (10-panel) within 60 days of start (no instant screens)
• Completion of UHS-required safety and compliance training modules prior to clearance

Additional Requirements

• UHS Competency Exam (80% passing score) within 1 year prior to start
• UHS Core Competencies training completed within 1 year prior to start
• UHS Skills Checklist (clinical skill-specific) within 1 year prior to start
• Resume, professional references, job application, and employment history form required for submission
• Non-expired photo ID required
• Badge photo (headshot, shoulders up, plain background, JPEG)

This position is ideal for experienced surgical RNs comfortable with advanced robotic systems and specialized eye trauma procedures, seeking a travel assignment in a Level One Trauma center.
