CT Tech Travel Opportunity - Tacoma, Washington
Position Overview
- Role: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)
- Location: Tacoma, Washington
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Facility Type: Level II Trauma Hospital
- Department: Radiology - CT
Requirements
- Minimum 2 full years of CT tech experience
- Active BLS certification
- ARRT certification required; ARRT-CT preferred
- Washington State License required (pending license holders may submit)
- Radiation badge required (traveler’s responsibility; facility does not provide)
- Experience working with trauma patients preferred
- IV start preferred but not required
Work Environment & Equipment
- 4 GE CT scanners: 2 inpatient, 1 outpatient (connected to facility), 1 Emergency Department (ED)
- No floating to other departments; work limited to these 4 scanners
- Imaging includes inpatient, outpatient, and emergent CT scans
- Average daily scans:
- Outpatient: 12-14 scans
- Inpatient procedures: up to 10 patients per day on one machine
- ED: up to 40 scans across all shifts
- EMR/PACS systems used: Epic and McKesson
- Radiologist available in-house during the day; on-call after hours
- Radiology supervisor or lead tech always available as a resource (except overnight/weekends)
Schedule & Orientation
- Shifts: Saturday through Monday, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Minimal on-call required
- Scrubs provided
- Department-specific orientation: 1 week, with ongoing support to ensure no extended solo work
Additional Notes
- Radiation badge is the traveler’s responsibility
- The facility auto-deducts Washington state tax, which can be re-added by the traveler if desired
