Description

Job Opportunity: Therapy/Rehabilitation - Travel/Contract

Location: Covington, Georgia
Setting: Hospital-based Outpatient Clinic with a heavy orthopedic population (80%) including TKA, THR, RCR, ACL repair, post-stroke rehab, and patients with functional deficits from various diseases.


Schedule & Work Details

  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Weekends: None
  • Call: None
  • Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
  • Contract Length: 12 weeks

Required Credentials & Compliance

Licenses & Certifications

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on specialty track

Background & Education

  • Background check required within 30 days of start, including criminal, sex offender, education verification, and other standard checks
  • Education verification required; diplomas or transcripts may be needed
  • Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually
  • Work history verification of most recent employer required (can be pending at start with proof it is in process)
  • Two clinical references required

Health & Immunizations

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months (with specific protocols if prior positive)
  • TB questionnaire required annually
  • Immunizations or positive titers required for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella
    • Hepatitis B (series, titer, or signed declination)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required (strongly encouraged during flu season)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (cannot start with results pending)

Competency Exams

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required for RNs and LVNs (Aya requirement)
  • Color Blind Testing required for all candidates
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for certain specialties (Tele, ICU, ER, etc.) with up to 3 attempts allowed

  • Locals accepted at the same rate
  • Candidate must review and sign facility-specific policies such as Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start
  • Orientation and onboarding compliance is critical; delays in compliance may push start date by 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
