Job Opportunity: Med/Tele - K5 Nurse
Location: Lufkin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Details
- Unit Type: Medical/Surgical Telemetry
- Number of Beds: 24
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 6:1
- Patient Care Techs (PCTs) Ratio: 12:1
- Common Patient Diagnoses: Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Diabetes, Pneumonia (PNA), Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Medical/Surgical Telemetry patients
- Respiratory Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow oxygen therapy
Shift & Scheduling
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
- Scheduling: Managed by supervisor; block scheduling not guaranteed
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
- Holiday Requirement: Holidays required
- Floating: Will float to all medical/surgical units
Skills & Requirements
- Required Certifications: BLS Certification
- Experience: Great communication and time management skills required
