Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab (Days)
Location: Lansing, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Specialty
- Registered Nurse (RN) with strong cardiac proficiency
- Previous Cath Lab experience required
- Experience with pre and post care (holding experience) required
- STEMI experience required
Clinical Experience & Skills
Nurses will work with cases including but not limited to:
- Heart Catheterizations
- Coronary and peripheral angioplasties and stents
- Lytics administration
- Embolizations
- Impella patient management
- Structural heart repairs (ASD and VSD)
- TEEs and Cardioversions
- Tilt Table Testing
- Pacers and ICDs
- Electrophysiology studies and complex ablations (especially Atrial Fibrillation)
- Thoracenteses and Paracenteses
- Tunneled catheter placements
Technology & Systems
- Experience with Phillips equipment preferred
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
Work Environment
- Tertiary teaching hospital with 310 acute care beds
- Cardiac programs and specialized clinical centers
- 15-bed Cath Lab
- 20-30 cases per day
- Dress code: Grey scrubs
Additional Requirements
- Prior travel experience is preferred, but not required
This position is ideal for an RN with solid cardiac cath lab experience looking for a temporary assignment in a high-volume, specialized cardiac care setting.
