Description

Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Job in High Point, North Carolina

Schedule

  • 4x9s schedule: Monday - Thursday, 12:00 PM - 9:30 PM
  • On occasion, may be asked to float to other facilities

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
  • Prior travel experience not required (first-time travelers are welcome)

Specialty Skills & Responsibilities

  • Must be able to perform CT and X-Ray
  • Must be able to start IVs (approximately 8-9 IVs per day)
  • Outpatient (Adult & Pediatric) and Emergency Department experience required
  • Experience with PACS and portable imaging equipment (GE and Siemens required; Samsung X-Ray preferred)
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
  • Experience with infants and pediatrics preferred

X-Ray Procedure Experience Required

CT Tech Procedure Experience Required

  • Abdomen

  • CT Angiographies (CTAs)
  • Multiplanar Reconstruction

ED CT and X-Ray Exams

  • Outpatient CT and X-Ray
  • Cardiac CT (Pulmonary Vein CT and Cardiac Calcium Scores)
  • Perfusion studies

Certifications Required

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT certification in CT and Radiography (R)
  • Pass/Fail EKG exam required for all RNs regardless of specialty
  • Other certifications may be required depending on unit (verify with program management)

Licensure & Verification

  • State license primary source verification required within 30 days of start (as applicable)
  • NURSYS verification required within 60 days of start (as applicable)
  • Education verification and high school diploma/GED verification required
  • Foreign equivalency evaluation required if education was obtained outside the U.S.

Compliance & Background Checks

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) required
  • Social Security Card required for badge issuance
  • Background check within 60 days of start covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start
  • Immunizations and health documents required, including:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
    • Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (Qgold/TSPOT within 6 months)
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccination or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B titer or declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required by 10/20 for working candidates)
  • Fit mask test (N95) completed within current calendar year and updated annually (exceptions apply)

Additional Requirements

  • Employment application/resume with 7-year work history
  • Verification of employment history for last 5 years
  • Two supervisory references required for clinical positions (one within 12 months, one within 24 months)
  • Annual skills checklist with a one-week grace period for renewal
  • Facility-specific documents including:
    • Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
    • Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing (EPIC and Dysrhythmia/EKG)
    • Floating policy and contractor equipment acknowledgement forms
    • Badge photo meeting strict facility requirements (no selfies, solid color background, business casual attire)

This position offers a specialized opportunity for Radiology/Cardiology technologists with CT and X-Ray skills, including pediatric and emergency department experience, on a 13-week travel contract with a 4-day workweek schedule. First-time travelers are welcome.
