Facility & Unit Information

• Unit Size: 20 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color
• Facility is a Joint Commission accredited community hospital and a Massachusetts DPH Primary Stroke Center.
• Offers inpatient medical services including general surgery, orthopedics, maternity, 24-hour emergency and hospitalist coverage.
• Provides ambulatory surgical services and outpatient ancillary diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Job Description

• Function independently under general guidance of the Director.
• Follow unit-specific guidelines and protocols.
• Duties require independent action, judgment, critical thinking, time management, communication, planning, delegating, and problem solving.
• Must maintain emotional stability in emergency settings.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years current Critical Care experience (highest required years of experience).
• Ventilator management, ICP Monitoring, and Hemodynamic Monitoring experience required.
• IV qualifications required.
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred.
• Active Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred.
• Active Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization Course (PEARS) preferred.
• Active American Heart Association PALS preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Certifications & Licenses

• Massachusetts RN license must be in-hand and uploaded with profile (non-negotiable).
• Active American Heart Association BLS required.
• Active American Heart Association ACLS required.

Additional Requirements

• Traveler must have their own vehicle.
• Permanent address must be included in profile.
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included at time of submission; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed.
• Scheduling requests must be made at submission; no scheduling requests accepted after offer.
• Work history and skills checklist (Critical Care, current within 1 year) required.
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required.

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit requirement for prior travel experience mentioned.

This position is suitable for experienced critical care RNs who meet the licensure and certification requirements and can commit to a 13-week temporary assignment with limited time off.
