CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) - Silverdale, Washington
Job Overview
A hospital in Washington is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a travel contract position. The role involves performing all routine CT exams, including trauma cases, cardiac CT, biopsies/drains, and cryo/microwave ablations.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Experience and Certifications
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- Current BLS certification required
- ARRT Certified CT Technologist (ARRT RT (R) (CT))
- Washington State License
- Radiation badge required prior to starting assignment
Department and Equipment
- Department: Radiology - CT (Computed Tomography)
- Number of scanners: 3 (1 GE REV CT, 2 GE REV HD)
- EMR system: EPIC
- PACS system: SECTRA
- Windows computer software used
Job Duties and Skills
- Perform all routine CT exams for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients
- Ability to perform trauma CT exams
- Occasional floating to X-ray for ED/Inpatient/Outpatient imaging
- IV skills are very helpful for outpatient work
Workload
- Average 65-70 scans/studies per 24-hour period across 3 scanners
Scheduling and Shifts
- Mix of 10-hour and 12-hour shifts, days and nights
- Assigned shifts with schedule posted at least 2 weeks in advance
- Weekend shifts vary: some every weekend, some every other weekend, depending on needs
- Holiday work required if scheduled
- Optional on-call with a 45-minute response time
Additional Information
- Department orientation typically lasts the first 3 days
- Scrub color is flexible as long as professional; hospital scrubs provided only for OR staff
- Radiologist on site 24/7
- No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) used
- Supervision by Imaging Supervisor and Shift/Modality Lead Techs
