Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Rotating)

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours (up to 48 hours/week, OT billable after 48)
Patient Types: Medical Surgical, all surgical cases except ortho and spine
Patient Ratios:
- Days: 1:4 or 1:5
- Nights: 1:5 or 1:6
Bed Size: 46
Scrubs: Black or Blue
Must float across Medical Surgical units throughout the hospital
Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
Orientation offered weekly, every Monday

Requirements

Specialty: Medical Surgical Nursing
Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical experience required
Work history/resume must show 24 months of current Medical Surgical experience
EPIC EMR experience required
Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical discipline required
Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS certification required
Valid Driver’s License required
Professional references preferred (from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, or equivalent within last 24 months)

Additional Information

First-time travelers are welcome
Pay multipliers for overtime, holidays, call back, and on-call hours apply (details not included)

Prior Travel Experience

Not required; first-time travelers are welcome.
