Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) (Days)

Location: Towson, Maryland
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Assess patients based on changes in condition and response to treatments
Coordinate care planning with patients, families, and healthcare team members for hospital and post-discharge care
Educate patients and families using teaching/learning principles
Identify and address unit, staff, and patient care problems or refer to appropriate resources
Coordinate patient activities with other disciplines

Requirements

Minimum 24 months (2 years) of current Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
Active certifications required:
- American Heart Association ACLS
- American Heart Association BLS
- American Heart Association NRP
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
COVID-19 vaccination required (declinations not accepted)
Submission of recent supervisory references and skills checklist specific to Labor & Delivery discipline

Additional Information

Overtime starts after 48 hours worked
1.5x pay for OT, call back, and holidays
Candidates may request time off equivalent to 1 week of contracted hours during the assignment
Orientations for RNs are held every other week on Tuesday and Wednesday, scheduled up to 6 weeks in advance
