Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical ICU (MSICU) (Nights)

Location: Midland, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Perform integrated pre and post-operative critical care nursing functions using the nursing process.
  • Assess patients for physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support needs.
  • Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care based on patient needs.
  • Evaluate patient progress by correlating patient information with nursing knowledge to determine if goals are being met.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement total patient care.

Requirements

  • Specialty: Medical Surgical ICU (MSICU)
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of SICU experience (required)
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (American Heart Association) - Required
    • ACLS (American Heart Association) - Required
  • Training: Open Heart Trained (required)
  • Licensure: Active Michigan RN license (LARA and/or Nursys verification required)
  • Work History: Skills checklist current to within 1 year, pertinent to ICU (required)
  • References: 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years (required)
  • EMR Experience: Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Prior Travel Experience: Preferred but not required
  • Additional Notes:
    • Facility requires candidates to be outside a 50-mile radius (local candidates not considered)
    • Scheduling requests must be submitted at time of application; no changes allowed after offer

  • 324-bed medical center offering primary care, specialty care, 24-hour emergency care, and Level II trauma care
  • Located on a 225-acre wooded campus in Midland, Michigan
  • Dress code: Navy Blue Scrubs
  • EMR system: Epic
